The University of Twente (UT) is a key research university directly under the Ministry of Education of the Netherlands. It was established in 1961. Although it is the youngest of the 13 national research universities in the Netherlands, it is recognized as one of the top universities in the Netherlands and a major member of the European Union of Innovative Universities (ECIU). Twente University is one of the three top universities of science and technology in the Netherlands, 3TU. Campus:


Twente University is the only modern university in the Netherlands with an American campus.
